How to measure its thickness by the velocity known ?
1. Press the power key "E", open the meter.
2. Press the sound speed key "N", display the last sound speed value. Press Plus Key or minus key, adjust the sound speed value to the known sound speed material of the known sound speed material. Each press Plus Key or minus key, the sound speed value will change 10m/s, if press Plus Key or minus key for 4 seconds, the sound speed value change amount is 100m/s.
3. A few coupling agents were coated on the measured points, and the ultrasonic sensor "B" was well coupled to the tested material. If the coupling is good, the coupling light will light, the reading on the monitor is the thickness of the material to be measured.
How to measure the thickness by a sample of known thickness?
Firstly, adjust the sound speed to a certain value and then measure the sample with known thickness to see if the measured thickness is the same as that of the sample. If the thickness of the sample is larger than the thickness of the known sample, the sound velocity should be reduced. On the contrary, if the measured thickness is smaller than the thickness of the known sample, the sound velocity should be increased. By adjusting the sound speed, the thickness measured is the same as that of the sample. This sound velocity is recorded for use in the next measurement of the same material.
Notice:
1. When there is a large error in the measurement, please check it firstly.
1). Whether the material code or the sound speed is set correctly.
2). Calibration.
3) There may be sand holes and Blowholes in the tested materials.
